SUMMARY:Friends of Marsden Library Presents: Local Writers Reading - Chris Longden
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the latest in our Local Writers Reading series when author Chris Longden will be reading from A Cuckoo in the Chocolate – the sequel to Mind Games and Ministers\, and due out later on this year.  Both books are best described as ‘light-hearted northern fiction – with a strong social message.’ \nChris Longden is from Dukinfield and moved to Namibia in 2003\, where she lived and worked with the Kalahari Bushmen – producing two books about them. On returning to the UK – with new family in tow – Chris settled in Netherton where she began to manage an international charity as well as becoming involved in setting up Dark Woods Coffee Roastery in Marsden. \nChris writes; both fiction and non-fiction; her blog www.funnylass.wordpress.com; to prisoners on death row; a column for the Yorkshire Times and her children’s homework (on those ‘sick of nagging them about it’ days). \nChris will be signing and selling copies of her books. \nEntrance is  £5\, book your place below and pay on the door.  Refreshments provided; proceeds to support Marsden Library. \n\n	Notice: JavaScript is required for this content.
