Good News – Library Budget potential reprieve for 2025-26
At its Cabinet meeting on Tuesday 11 February 2025 Kirklees Council agreed to withdraw its proposed £800,000 reduction to the Library Service budget.
Full Council will consider this and other budget proposals at its meeting on 5 March 2025.

If full Council approves the budget they will no longer be looking to reduce the opening or paid staffing hours in Libraries during 2025/26.
