Our latest ‘Local Writer Reading’ is prominent poet (and Marsdener) Simon Armitage. Simon will be reading from the full range of his work in Marsden Mechanics on Friday 4th November.
The performance will include ‘Still’, his most recent work, which was inspired by aerial photographs of the Somme, taken during the First World War.
Tickets are priced £10 (£8 concessions), with funds raised going to support the Big Library Appeal.
Like Robin Ince, who visited us in June, Simon is donating his time to the fundraising effort, so let’s give him a massive Marsden welcome.
