We’re excited to announce that the 2021 Marsden Calendar Competition is now open until midnight on 30th June.

We’re looking for pictures that capture the unique and quirky character of Marsden and the Colne Valley. That includes landscapes and buildings, but not forgetting the activities and people that make this such a great place to live and visit.
Full instructions and terms and conditions are on the entry website (link above) but a couple of things to highlight are:
- make sure your pictures are horizontal in format, remembering that the winning ones will be printed as a full horizontal page in the calendar
- it’s important that pictures are high enough resolution to be printed out to A4 size without going grainy – we recommend at least 1.5MB. Most smartphones achieve this, but best to be aware
- if we get 5 or more entrants aged 18 or under we’ll award an age-group prize – so please encourage any young people you know to enter
- Interesting pictures are more important than technical perfection, but its still a good idea to try and avoid thumbs etc getting in the way 🙂
