We are thrilled to announce our new event series, to be held in the intimate surroundings of Marsden Library:  Local Writers Reading.

Join us and Colne Valley author Dave Rigby on Wednesday 13 April, 8pm – 9pm.  Dave will be reading from his novel Darkstone, a thriller set in 2020s Scotland.  Darkstone envisages a dystopian future where security is in the hands of the all-powerful ‘Bridgade’.  When Ellis Landsman, who lives in the Scottish Outlands, finds the body of a young woman in his forest he starts on a quest which leads him into the Brigade’s sights.  But all is not as it seems as he struggles to track down the young woman’s killer.

Born in Huddersfield, author Dave Rigby is retired and lives in the Colne Valley.  Darkstone is his first published novel.  His second novel, Shoreline, which is set in Belgium, will be published shortly.

Dave will be signing and selling copies of Darkstone.

Entrance is £5 (including refreshments), payable on the door.
