CONGRATULATIONS TO THEM All, and thank you to everyone who entered. As ever you made the judge’s job very hard, and we couldn’t do it without you.
You can see an exhibition of the winning images from 27th September in the Mechanics, and the Calendar will also be on sale around the village from that date.
Just to remind everyone, the FoML Calendar is for charity, raising funds to support the activities of the Friends of Marsden Library. The events we put on range from extra events for the Junior and Infant Schools, to Author events. We collaborate with the Literature Festival to bring one of their events to Marsden each year, and we support other Village initiatives, e.g. Yorkshire Day, etc. We have also contributed to the Library’s upkeep and recruit volunteers to support the full-time staff in the Library (a condition of Library provision).
