Tim Taylor was born in Stoke on Trent, but has lived in Meltham since 2001.  Formerly a civil servant, he now divides his time between creative writing and academic research/teaching in philosophy at the University of Leeds.  As well as fiction, Tim writes poetry and non-fiction.  He also likes playing the guitar (sometimes in public) and walking up hills.

Tim will be reading from his two published novels:  Revolution Day, a political thriller about an ageing Latin American dictator, losing his grip as his vice-President plots against him; and Zeus of Ithome, a historical novel set in ancient Greece, about the struggle of the Messenian people to free themselves from slavery.

Tim will be signing and selling his books after the reading.
