There’s lots of time to enter the 2020 Calendar Competition, with the chance to see your photo included in the 2021 Marsden Calendar.
Why not give it a go? The judges are looking for pictures that capture the spirit of life here in Marsden and the Colne Valley. They can be of our lovely landscape, our wildlife, daily life, festivals and events, or pictures that will help us to remember news and events from 2020. Pictures with people in them are encouraged.
And if you’re 16 or under, just let us know how old you are in the caption when you upload your picture, and we’ll consider it in an age-group category.
Pictures can be from any year.
A couple of quick tips – send in pictures that are horizontal in format (landscape) to fit with the calendar layout, and make sure they are at least 0.6 MB in size. Anything smaller tends to print poorly. And no more than 7MB – anything larger makes our server creak.
If you get stuck, we’re happy to help out if we can – we can help you resize images that are too big, and with uploading to the site. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The competition is open until the end of July – good luck!
