Carers Week 2020 – 8th to 14th June

Planning for Re-Opening

The first steps towards planning for re-opening have started.  Work is taking place to model what the Library Service might look like as we slowly move into different phases of coming out of lockdown.  Kirklees LS is involved with the national conversation, and is closely reviewing and monitoring other countries around the world.

Getting the Home Library delivery service (operated with the RVS) back up and running as soon as possible is a priority and the possibility of expanding it to include other vulnerable service users who are self-isolating is being investigated.

Two more services under consideration are: a click and collect service, and making appointments-based IT sessions available for people who have no other access to a computer.
