Friends of Marsden Library has partnered once again with Huddersfield Literature Festival to bring HLF to the Colne Valley.
This year, we are offering you an unmissable event with one of our best-loved Yorkshire writers, Milly Johnson – a bestselling novelist who is much in demand as an after-dinner speaker and professional joke writer.
Milly’s latest novel, Together, Again, see sisters Jolene, Marsha and Annis convening at the family home following the death of their mother. Born seven years apart, the women are more strangers than sisters. When the sisters discover their mother has left everything in her will to Annis, the renegade daughter who left home at 16 never to return until now, it undermines everything they thought they knew. Together, Again is a story about sister helping sister to heal from childhood scars and finding in each other support, forgiveness, courage and love.
“This masterpiece honestly describes the strength and acceptance required to be a family. 5 STARS” Adele Parks, Book of the Month, Platinum magazine.
Milly Johnson is an international novelist, poet, after-dinner speaker, professional joke writer, scriptwriter, columnist, cruise correspondent, short-story writer and winner of C4’s Come Dine With Me.
She is the author of 20 bestselling novels, selling over three million copies globally, plus a poetry collection and five novellas. In 2020, the Romantic Novelist Association awarded her its Outstanding Achievement Award.
Milly is from Barnsley, where she has lived all her life – apart from four years at University in Exeter studying Drama and Education, and 13 years in Haworth in West Yorkshire.
