Celebrate Yorkshire Day with the return of FoML’s Northern Writers Reading events in Marsden Library!

Amanda Huggins Amanda Huggins is the author of All Our Squandered Beauty, which won the 2021 Saboteur Award for Best Novella, and four collections of short stories and poetry.

Her most recent short story collection, Scratched Enamel Heart, was also shortlisted for a Saboteur Award this year, and her debut poetry collection, The Collective Nouns for Birds, won a Saboteur Award in 2020.

Sarah Linley lives in West Yorkshire and works as a Communications Manager for a housing charity in Bradford.

She spent two years backpacking around South-East Asia with her husband. Their travels inspired her debut novel, The Beach. Her second novel, The Wedding Guest, will be published by HarperCollins in April 2022.

Amanda and Sarah will read from their work, discuss the similarities and differences in their approaches, and take questions from the audience.
